'The Philistine' returns to comics!

Trade Paperback will be the "complete and definitive" saga

United Comics will be the publisher/distributor of Mike Mongillo and Mike Zittel's '90s comics series "The Philistine". In a statement issued by United Comics Publisher / Editor-in-Chief T.C. Ford, the series will still be collected in Graphic Novel form as originally planned "but with a few changes and additions".

"After a series of discussions with (Philistine co-creator) Mike Mongillo, it was decided that his Mean Time Productions would be responsible for producing the comic instead of our ONYX division", said Ford, "This allows Mean Time to add 'The Mexico Adventures' - an additional 44+ pages - into the package to make it complete and definitive." The Mexico Adventures was originally announced as a two-issue miniseries.

Originally presented by One Shot Press, this critically acclaimed mini-series was released in the mid-’90s but was never published in its entirety. This collection gathers the previously published "Origin" issues, the unreleased issues from that mini-series, two never-before-seen "Mexico Adventures," as well as the (literally) lost (and recently found) issue zero. Now complete in this one awesome package, you can read The Philistine, from start to finish, for the first time ever!

The complete retail edition of The Philistine [ISBN 0-9743086-0-9] will be available for purchase at bookstores nationwide and at the Unitedcomicworks.com website in November. Price is $24.95.
